Clifford Barton Weddings, licensed for weddings and civil ceremonies, offers you a number of beautiful settings in which to celebrate your big day and comfortable accommodation to retreat after.

If you are in search of a unique natural setting for your ceremony, the gorgeous timber framed Bridesmere Bridge, overlooking a beautiful lake, is an ideal place for you. It is located 8 minutes walk down a wood path from the venue. After the ceremony you and your guests can have drinks and canapes, enjoying the peaceful views.

The Corn Barn is a great outdoor covered space for your unforgettable ceremony. An open fronted stone barn can also be used for your reception.
Swallow Barn, the venue`s main building, is a perfect, spacious setting for both your ceremony and reception. Featuring exposed brickwork, rustic wooden beams and large windows, the light-filled space provides you with an atmospheric backdrop in which to tie the knot. The simple but stylish interior can be complemented with decorations of your choice. The Barn can comfortably accommodate up to 110 seated guests for your dining reception. You are free to bring your own suppliers and caterers, however the venue can put you in touch with experienced local suppliers, offering all you need for your perfect celebration.

After the celebration, Clifford Barton Weddings invites you to stay in comfortable accommodation.

For exclusive use of Clifford Barton and its grounds for the wedding of your dreams costs £5,100 for a wedding in 2021 and £5,550 in 2022.

This includes

- Use of licensed space for the Ceremony: Bridesmere Bridge, Swallow Barn or, from 2021, The Willow Arbour;
- Use of Swallow Barn for the Reception;
- Exclusive access to the ceremonial and reception areas from 12 noon the day before the wedding to set up, the wedding day from 8.00am till 12 midnight, and the day after the wedding.
- No corkage charge for the toast and wedding breakfast wine (up to a combined total of 1 bottle 37.5cl per adult)
- Well stocked, reasonably priced pay bar for the evening reception
- Off-grid Love Nest for the newlyweds;
- Wood fired off grid Hot Tub with fantastic views
- Exclusive use of accommodation for 20 on site (charged separately); and
- Exclusive use of Glamping bell tents (charged separately)
- Rustic trestle tables and benches for your reception
- Fuel for the Woodburner in Swallow Barn and the firepits;
- Car parking for your guests;

We also are happy to host smaller more intimate wedding and we are flexible to offer something that suits your requirements, so please get in touch if you had something in mind that is a bit different.

With an exclusive use of the entire venue you can enjoy your big day fully. Clifford Barton Weddings hosts only a handful of weddings each year, so every celebration is exclusive and truly exceptional.

Clifford Barton Weddings is nestled in the heart of wild Dartmoor countryside, within the lush woodland and rolling farmland of the Teign valley. The charming venue is set within 50 acres of spectacular nature reserve. This perfect location offers you and your guests access to the picturesque Bridesmere lake, woodland and rolling meadows around the natural reserve and the venue`s great outdoor spaces.
