Tucked in a quiet, separate areas on the first floor of The Bakery at MyEdinburgh, The Proving Room is a warm and professional space ideal for board meetings, strategic planning sessions, workshops, and small networking events.

With capacity for up to 15 people, this versatile room combines comfort and function—frequently used for evening Board Meetings, working lunches, and informal supper gatherings. A small adjoining kitchen area makes it easy to offer refreshments or host catered sessions, adding a relaxed touch to corporate or community gatherings.

Spaces in The Bakery
1. Reception Area: Comfortable seating, perfect for informal meetings or arrival wait time
2. The Baking Room Crafting & sharing excellence: A large vaulted-ceiling; bright, adaptable layout with moveable chairs, on the ground floor, wheel-chair accessible, toilets and kitchen tables (max 100 people).
3. The Granary Gathering & storing knowledge: Open, spacious and bright, the second-largest space on the first floor with adjoining breakout area, ideal for workshops and events (max 30 people).
4. The Proving Room Shaping & developing solutions: Quiet but bright and welcoming space, ideal for group meetings. On the first floor, with separate ground floor access door (if the Baking Room is in use) (12–14 people)
Housekeeping & Facilities:
• Radiators are controlled individually. Allow half an hour to warm the space.
• The Entrance Hall and Main Hall are accessible for wheel chair access with a portable ramp for the front door, with an accessible toilet on the ground floor. Please note there is no lift to the upper floors.
• WiFi provided on arrival (code on welcome sign inside room)
• Toilets located on the ground floor and first floor
• Tea/coffee/milk provided in both kitchen areas
• Please leave rooms as found:
- Dispose of rubbish in labelled bins
- Return furniture to original positions
- Turn off lights, heating, and devices before leaving
- Lock up, insuring fire door is locked from the inside, turn on ALARM
- Return key to key safe outside the front door

• Free on-street parking in surrounding streets (time-limited)
• Pay-and-display bays on London Road and Montgomery Street
• Bike racks available outside of the building

About The Bakery
The Bakery is a creative alternative to traditional theatre and meeting spaces. Opened in mid-2024 as part of the MyEdinburgh collaborative partnership, ideal for interactive events, small performances, workshops, and networking events.
The venue comprises three distinct rooms:
• The Baking Room
• The Proving Room
• The Granary
