A bookshop unlike any other event space in Bristol.

Lost in the Reads is an independent bookshop and community hub on Kingswood High Street in Bristol. Our ground floor venue is available to hire for private events seven days a week, outside of our normal opening hours — including evenings and weekends.

This isn't a blank function room. It's a warm, atmospheric space surrounded by bookshelves, thoughtfully designed to feel welcoming and special. Your guests arrive somewhere that feels curated, not corporate.

The space is ideal for:

Pricing: From £50 per hour / 2-hour minimum booking A deposit is taken at the time of booking.
