The Private Space at The Modern Vancouver is a lounge-style private space in an event venue defined by modular sofa seating that can be rearranged to suit social gatherings.
Design: The room features white three-dimensional wall panels, low black sofas, white low tables and cube ottomans beneath coloured LED and filament-string lighting. The high ceiling and monochrome finishes give a contemporary, club-like interior.
Features: The space contains a built-in bar and a cleared area that functions as a dancefloor. The room includes an in-house PA and speaker hookups, Wi‑Fi, air conditioning and moveable lounge seating and low tables that can be reconfigured. The space permits external DJs and own-music playback and provides step-free access and accessible toilets.

Host rules
All events must be booked in advance, and access is only allowed during the agreed rental period. Be sure to include setup and cleanup time within your rental period.
The venue accommodates up to 70 guests. Exits must remain clear at all times for safety. Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside the venue or on the rooftop.
You’re welcome to bring outside catering, or you may select from our trusted catering partners. Alcohol service must follow local liquor laws and may require a valid permit when applicable.
DJs and live music are allowed, but the volume must adhere to city noise regulations. Outdoor music on the Sky-View Terrace should be lowered after 10:00 PM.
To protect the venue, no nails, screws, or adhesives that could damage walls or surfaces are allowed. Candles must be enclosed in glass holders, and open flames are not permitted. Confetti, glitter, and sparklers are also not allowed.
Renters are responsible for cleaning up and returning the venue to its original condition. Any damages will be charged to the renter, and a security deposit may be required.
Pets are not allowed, except for service animals. For certain events, event staff or security may be required.
