Deposit & Payment
- A signed contract and a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total rental fee are required to confirm the booking.
- A further 25% is due six months prior to the event date. The final 25% is due eight weeks prior to the event.
- Any additional charges incurred (e.g. overtime, damage, late pickups, approved item removals) will be invoiced and must be paid within five (5) business days post-event.
Cancellations & Refunds
All cancellations must be submitted in writing. The initial 50% deposit is non-refundable.
Gallery 1888 has a zero-tolerance policy for violence, unlawful conduct, and substance abuse. Any such behaviour may result in immediate removal from the premises and/or event termination without refund.
The client assumes full responsibility for the conduct of all guests, vendors, and subcontractors, and is liable for any damages to the venue or artwork caused during the rental period.
Deliveries, Rentals & Clean-Up
- All personal items and rentals must be removed by the end of the
rental period unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Gallery 1888 is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
- All vendors must coordinate drop-off and pick-up with Gallery 1888 in advance.
- A standard cleaning fee is included in your rental; however, additional cleaning charges may apply if the space is left in poor condition.
Gallery 1888’s artwork, furniture, and lighting are integral to the design and function of the space.
- Light fixtures are permanent and cannot be moved under any circumstance.
- Requests to remove or relocate artwork or furniture must be submitted in writing at least two (2) months prior to the event date and are subject to Gallery 1888’s approval.
Cancellation policy: Flexible with Grace Period
