Tagvenue Expands Venue Rentals to York and Norwich

Tagvenue has expanded to two more UK cities. Event organisers can now browse and book venues in York and Norwich, with no booking or admin fees.

York Event Venues: Now Bookable in a Few Clicks

York is the headline addition this time round. Known for its Roman walls, Viking history and iconic Minster, the city now has a broad range of venues available on Tagvenue.

The range includes:

• Heritage halls and museums — spaces like the Tempest Anderson Hall at Yorkshire Museum and the 14th-century Hospitium, both set within York’s historic Museum Gardens
• Grand banqueting spaces — including Merchant Adventurers’ Hall, one of the city’s best-known civic venues
• Bars, pubs and party venues — from Slug and Lettuce York to the New York-inspired Highline Bar at Manahatta
• Unusual and playful spaces — including Roxy Ball Room for ball games and karaoke, the gaming lounge at Up A Level, and The Pink Room with its private bar and ball pit
• Hotel event spaces — including the Work+Play rooms at Malmaison York, which can be combined to hold up to 180 guests

York’s party venues currently average around £1,000 minimum spend per event, based on live listing prices on Tagvenue. Pricing varies widely by format: function rooms in pubs start from as little as £10 per person per session, while whole-venue hire of a historic space can start at £240 per hour. As York’s booking history builds on the platform, we’ll be able to share figures based on completed bookings too.

Popular areas for booking include Guildhall for riverside views and nightlife, Micklegate for local bars and historic buildings, and Clifton for a quieter, more boutique feel.

Norwich: Medieval Charm & Modern Event Spaces

Norwich joins Tagvenue with a smaller but genuinely distinctive first wave of venues, where medieval lanes sit comfortably alongside contemporary bars and breweries.

Event planners will find options including:

• Pubs, bars and breweries — such as Be At One Norwich
• Hotel event spaces — including the Lancaster Suite at Holiday Inn Norwich, the hotel’s largest event space
• Independent and characterful venues — including Bar & Beyond Norwich, spread across five bars and three rooms, and The Maids Head Hotel, one of the city’s most established addresses
• Unique and active spaces — including indoor golf at City Greens Golf, and a private dining room at Bill’s Norwich Restaurant

Popular areas include the historic Norwich Lanes, Elm Hill‘s cobbled streets, and Prince of Wales Road for a livelier night out.

What venues in Norwich cost

Norwich party venues currently average around £25 per person, based on live listing prices on Tagvenue, with cheaper minimum-spend venues averaging closer to £1,500 per event. Smaller venues typically start from £50–£300 per session, while larger bars and hotels can run £2,000 or more for a minimum spend. As Norwich’s booking history builds on the platform, we’ll be able to share figures based on completed bookings too.
