About this space
The main area includes table space, standing room, and bar seating. Capacity is about 60 people, or more standing if we remove some seating.
Adjoining but around a corner is our Lounge area, a slightly more intimate zone which accommodates around 25 with booths and tables.
The brewing equipment at the rear makes an interesting backdrop, and we can provide bench space for food service.
A courtyard at front can seat around 15-20, depending on the configuration, and is a smoking-permitted space.
The entire venue is heated and air conditioned and bifold doors open to the front courtyard (weather permitting).

About Gales Brewery
Gales Brewery is classic Melbourne - a hidden gem in the backstreets of East Brunswick. A 20th century warehouse provides the shell of this cozy, welcoming venue, frequently described as having a 'chilled vibe'. The decor is loosely 'deconstructed mid century industrial', with moody lighting, and thriving plants that are slowly consuming the venue. Not your typical beer barn, some have described Gales as the most beautiful brewery they've ever seen. Almost everything is bespoke, and you'll even find an interesting art piece or two.
Behind the bar, at least one of the brewers is always there to talk about the great beer we brew on site. You can expect about a dozen beers and perhaps a mead or two, complemented by some fine Australian spirits and a selected wine offering of red, white, pink and bubbly.
Choose between the main room, a more private lounge area, or the front courtyard under trees (weather permitting). Gales is dog friendly and supervised children are welcome with groups.
