About this space
Bighouse Sound Studio is a professional recording studio in Coburg North, that also doubles as a premium rehearsal space.
As a recording studio it boasts three different rooms providing versatility and easy multi-tracking. The large live room measures in at 8.1m x 3.4m, and features a beautiful Yamaha upright piano. The insulated rooms have been treated with sound baffles for optimum acoustics, while double glazed windows mean that eye contact can be made between musicians and the engineer at all times. The recording setup can be as simple as straight into the tape machine, or as complex as a digital/analog hybrid with outboard gear and digital plugins.
As a rehearsal space it's the band room only and comes with an in house drum kit, Bass amp and guitar amp. As a rehearsal space it's available after hours from 6pm til 11pm. As it's a quiet, sound proof and acoustically treated space it's perfect for DIY recording sessions for home producers who are looking for a space to setup their own recording on a budget.
The band room space (no recording gear or extra rooms) can be used for music rehearsals or DIY recording - $80 for the evening slot 6pm-11pm. Extra $20 fee if you want to use the piano.
