The Blackbox Studio, situated on the ground floor at Brisbane's EC Venue, is a superbly renovated urban-style venue that is perfect for smaller, intimate gatherings of up to 80 guests. This versatile blank canvas space features polished concrete floors, warm ambient lighting, PA system, air conditioning, as well as a private bar and private bathrooms, all included in your hire.
Creatives will appreciate the availability of full-length mirrors and the space's ability to accommodate up to 30 dancers or 60 seated guests for performances or workshops. The entrance to the space is accessible at street level, with stairs leading to the studio. Overall, the Blackbox is a terrific option for hosting a range of events, thanks to its contemporary decor and flexible layout possibilities.

Prices
A Venue Manager must be present for the duration of the event, Including Load in / out. @ $45/hr +GST (min 2hrs).
For workshops & seminars a Venue Manager is only required for Load in (min 2hrs).
A Cleaning Fee is charged for all events where food or drinks are consumed @ $145 +GST (Blackbox or Foyer)
BAR SERVICE :
Bar staff may be booked for the times you require service (Min 2hrs). EC is a licensed venue, BYO drinks are not permitted.
- $195/hr +GST for up to 50pax
- $260/hr +GST for 50-80pax
- $325/hr +GST for 80 - 140pax
FOOD SERVICE :
We have many menu options and styles available by request. BYO Catering is welcome at $145 +GST
Price : $600/hr minimum spend across the bar. Food not included. Minimum 2hr booking.
