About Outfit Brewery
Outfit Brewing opened its doors to the public in August of 2018 as a family-owned and operated brewery run by brothers Jordan Young and Mike Frazer.
People love to ask: “How did you get started?”
Head brewer Jordan got his start brewing back in the mid-2000s as a hobby in his garage on the weekends between his day job and kids’ activities. Through plenty of trials, a fair amount of error, constant tweaking, and unwavering determination, he improved his process and the resulting product—quality craft beer.
As the years passed, he began brewing his craft beer for family and friends for weddings, social events, and celebrations. The idea of making it something bigger than a garage hobby started to slowly take shape in 2012, becoming a reality in 2018.
Perhaps the most frequently asked (and usually the first asked question) from patrons is “Where did you get the name Outfit?” Flashback to a few decades earlier and Jordan’s grandfather, the family’s patriarch, frequently used the term ‘Outfit’ when describing someone: “Now, that there is a good Outfit.”
He was not referencing their attire—but rather the person. When Jordan decided to make his dream and hobby into a reality he immediately thought of his grandfather and chose "Outfit," paying homage to the man who meant so much to him.
So join us for a brew (or two), and make sure to bring a friend. We're looking forward to including more folks in the next chapter of our story.
