The Jikoni Loft Studio is a white and exposed brick loft space comprised of a kitchen, bar/kitchenette, dining, and sitting room.
Our 2 modern English-style kitchens each have their own unique look.
A one-stop shop for shooting food, we have onsite props & cookware available for an additional charge.
Perfect for shooting cooking shows, recipe videos, food photography, food events, and any other food/lifestyle-related content.
The kitchen set is decorated with light wood surfaces and acts as a very clean, neutral backdrop with a customizable backsplash, ready to take on whatever tone your ideas require.
Our bar/kitchen provides a rustic feel earthier tones, exposed brick walls, and brass hardware.
The Loft Studio has north-facing, all-day natural light and a lounge area meant for comfort and relaxation. The restroom offers a full shower and vanity space.
The Loft is located in the rear interior corner of the building. The ceiling has exposed beams that can be used for the rigging of light-weight gear.
Located in the Arts District, all of our studio spaces are on the top floor of a two-story loft-style building built-in 1908. The building has stair-free loading access with wide hallways and a freight elevator.
Note: The Loft is not available to rent as a commissary or commercial kitchen.

Host rules
Studio staff must be onsite for all bookings.
Do not leave items in the building’s hallways and common spaces.
Trash should be removed daily after shoots. Garbage & recycling bins are located in the rear of the building.
Work surfaces should we wiped down, and food swept from floors daily after shoots.
All cookware used must be washed.
No uncovered food items should be left on the counter overnight.
Please check out all props with studio staff.
No cooking with wood or charcoal inside.
No smoking in the building.
Production insurance is required. Please provide a COI.
Furniture and decorations may be moved.
Smoke machines are allowed.
No nudity allowed.

About Jikoni Studios
In Swahili, Jikoni means kitchen. At our core, that’s what we are.
A space to cook, to share and to create. Jikoni was built with the creator and production crew in mind: the walls are mobile, the surfaces are neutral and the ambiance is whatever you’d like to make it. My team and I are here to make sure your visions become reality, and your creations come to life.
Jikoni offers kitchen studio rental and food video production services lead by our studio founder, Kiano Moju.
Kiano Moju is a Los Angeles-based culinary producer and on-screen personality, as well as the founder and principal of Jikoni. She was previously a producer with BuzzFeed’s food video vertical, Tasty, where she produced such viral successes as Party Rice Around Africa, How to Make Moist Carrot Cake, Making Rainbow Croissants, and Making a 4 Flavor Cheesecake.
In 2019, Kiano departed BuzzFeed and launched Jikoni. She holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Communications and Rhetorical Studies from Syracuse University, and a Master of Arts in Publishing from University of the Arts London.
