About The Wren's Nest
For over a century, The Wren’s Nest has been a place where history and memories meet. Nestled in Atlanta’s West End, this National Historic Landmark was once home to author and journalist Joel Chandler Harris, and now serves as a charming house museum. With its cozy Queen Anne Victorian architecture, it's the ideal spot for small gatherings. The wraparound porch adds to the inviting vibe, making it great for intimate parties.
Set on more than two acres of land, The Wren’s Nest is also one of Atlanta's most spacious outdoor venues. The front yard, shaded by majestic magnolias and Georgia oaks, welcomes you as you arrive. The expansive backyard, which includes a built-in stage, can host up to 800 guests. Despite its size, there are plenty of cozy corners, like the peaceful reading garden, perfect for quieter moments.
Beyond just being a beautiful venue, The Wren’s Nest offers unique additions to events, such as children's literacy activities, historic house tours, storytelling performances, and youth writing workshops. By choosing this venue, you’re not just planning an unforgettable event—you’re also supporting a nonprofit that champions education and storytelling.
On top of its historic charm and unique offerings, The Wren’s Nest prides itself on flexibility, with an open vendor policy and a team dedicated to making your event a success.
