Big Penny Social’s versatile Event Space is a dynamic venue designed to accommodate a wide range of events, from corporate away days, conferences, and workshops to gigs, awards ceremonies, film screenings, and unforgettable private parties. The venue boasts a fully stocked private bar, ensuring guests stay refreshed throughout the event, while a 12x8ft stage, complete with a PA system, sound desk, and DJ kit, provides the perfect setup for live performances, speeches, and entertainment. The space is adaptable and can be partitioned for smaller, more intimate events or opened up for large-scale productions. With direct access to our spacious garden—a sun trap in the summer—it offers a seamless indoor/outdoor flow, allowing guests to step outside and enjoy the fresh air.
State-of-the-art facilities include a 3.5m x 2m LED panel screen for high-impact presentations and visuals, high-speed WiFi to keep everyone connected, and three-phase power to support complex technical setups. The venue is designed with both convenience and comfort in mind, featuring optional green rooms for performers or event hosts, limited on-site parking, and a range of entertainment extras such as table football, table tennis, and a giant Jenga set to keep guests engaged between activities.

Welcome to Big Penny Social, a unique destination venue in Walthamstow for up to 1,400 guests; featuring the UK’s largest Beer Hall, East London’s biggest beer garden and an incredible and flexible event space. Whether you’re planning a legendary summer party (we even have a seasonal pop up beach), a conference with a twist, a wedding, exhibition, product launch or even a live gig, we’ve got the space and vibe to make it unforgettable.
We have table tennis, table football, darts and arcade games throughout the building, top notch AV with two massive LED screens, and we’re fully accessible. We’re just a 5-minute stroll from Blackhorse Road Station and only 20 minutes from Kings Cross, with easy access from all over London.
