About this space

The Event Space at The Leeds Library is a flexible and accessible venue, ideal for larger meetings, presentations and corporate events. The room can accommodate up to 90 guests seated theatre-style, with a central aisle—perfect for panel discussions, talks and conferences.
Available for both daytime and evening hire, the space is well suited to a wide range of events including networking functions, receptions, dinners, award ceremonies, launches and celebratory gatherings. It’s also fully equipped to support hybrid events, making it a practical choice for modern businesses.
Accessibility is a key feature, with step-free access via a lift, power-assisted doors and fully accessible bathroom facilities.
All bookings include Wi-Fi, a smart TV, projector and screen, along with up to 90 chairs and a selection of flexible furniture including large and small tables to suit your layout.
Refreshments such as water, tea and coffee, biscuits and pastries can be added, and we’re happy to recommend trusted external caterers. An adjoining kitchen is also available to hire (£20 per hour), providing a convenient preparation space complete with plates, glasses, cups and cutlery.

Host rules

1. Events that run after 10pm will be charged at time and a half of the room hire fee.
2. NO alcohol may be consumed in any part of the premises at ANY point, unless previously agreed.
3. Naked flames are not permitted within any part of the library premises.
4. All events must be approved by the Library. The Leeds Library reserves the right to refuse any bookings which are not in line with our organisational values.
5. Any tech set up and control is the responsibility of the person hiring the space. The Library is unable to provide a member of staff to do this for you.
