When it comes to booking just about anything, there’s always one big item that’s hanging over the process — what’s the cancellation policy?
Questions run through your mind like, “Is it even possible to cancel this after the booking is confirmed?” And, What if I have to cancel my booking 3 days before the event?”
If you’re looking to book a brilliant venue for your upcoming event, or if you’ve already landed the venue you need through Tagvenue but you have some questions about the cancellation policy, we’re here to provide the answers for you.
It’s always better to know everything upfront, and as clear as possible, to provide a sense of comfort and confidence when booking a venue.
Even with the best intentions, sometimes things are out of our control.
If an unexpected life event causes you to need to cancel a venue booking, you don’t need uncertainty to add to any distress you might be under.
That’s why we have a clear cancellation policy for all venues listed on Tagvenue.com, and we’re also available for direct contact in special circumstances when a booking needs to be discussed and considered in more detail and depth.
Depending on what type of venue you booked, and how you made your payment, there are different routes to take when you need to cancel a booking.
The policy for each venue is clearly stated on their venue page, and should be in your agreement with the venue when you both agreed on the date and parameters for your event.

There are four common types of cancellations for you when booking a venue through Tagvenue.
As we’ve mentioned, we firmly believe in addressing the unknowns before they even come into play. That’s why we make everything crystal clear, especially when it comes to our cancellation policies.
Of course, there are extraordinary circumstances that can fall outside of these four, in which case we would highly encourage you to personally message your venue manager point of contact, and reach out to us as well.
We’ll review each one, so you know what they actually mean, and show you the routes to cancellations and possible refund requests.
First, let’s address a cancellation that, for some reason, arises right after you’ve booked your venue or requested a booking for a venue.
