The Chef's Table in the Pure South Dining Room takes a front row seat to our open kitchen, offering your guests an up close and personal experience with our Executive Chef David Hall and their culinary team. Set back from our main dining space, the Chef's Table affords your guests' privacy from other dinners without missing the atmosphere.

This versatile space can be configured with a single dining style table for 20 guests or two smaller tables for 8-10, allowing space for guests to mingle pre- and post-dinner. Our Chef's Table is idea for relaxed business gatherings, birthdays and casual social events.


Event offers and packages

Package per person

The Pure South Dining Room offers varying event and beverage packages to suite all occasions and budgets. Menus begin at $130 per person for three-courses, with beverage packages available for fixed priced events. Clients are also welcome to purchase beverages on consumption. Executive Chef David Hall is able to cater to any and all dietary requirements, with our events team on hand to craft bespoke menus.

The Pure South Dining Room overlooks the Yarra River, Southbank and the Melbourne skyline through panoramic windows on the first floor; memories of our trips to the island adorn the wood-panelled walls, adding to the warmth of the produce.

For more than 20 years, Pure South Dining has been unwavering to our philosophy, Ethical, Sustainable and Provenance driven produce, supporting generations of Tasmanian farmers. Savour beautiful St Helens ‘Lease 65’ Oysters while sipping Champagne, Southern Rock Lobster, King Island Eye Fillet and Devonport White Fish also feature on our current menu, showcasing our most loved suppliers of the islands.

The Dining Room features different spaces catering to larger cocktail events, to intimate dinners and celebrations. Our chefs, front of house and events team share decades of experience in acclaimed restaurants here in Australia & around the world. The team embody traditional, 'old-fashioned' hospitality values, treating our guests as family. This personal connection allows our team to offer flexibility and customisation that is not available in function venues.
