Inspired by hawker dining bars of SE Asia, shared eating is the focus at Rice Paper Scissors Fitzroy. The upper level, available for private hire, is great for both personal & corporate functions.

Our upper level in our Fitzroy restaurant offers a private, dedicated, function space with a capacity of 30 seated or 50 standing.

Rice Paper Scissors is modelled on the hawker dining bars of South East Asia, with a shared eating concept being the focus of what we do.

We aim to serve only the freshest ingredients, sourced organically and ethically where possible and all our sauces, pâtés and relishes are made in-house.

Everything from the planning to the day of was perfect, the staff were able to accommodate to all my requests. Staff are friendly and attentive to all the guests, i didnt need to think of anything because they were able to arrange everything for me. Food and drinks was so good, all my guests loved all the things we consumed.
Not much dish choice in terms of shared banquets, parking was a bit of a concern since we can only park for 2 hrs on a weekday

A special lunch for 30 was simply perfect on Sunday. Each course was beautifully presented and served, tasted delicious and the menu we selected was enjoyed by everyone ! The kids loved their chicken wings, bao buns , spring rolls and their special magnum sweet treats. A great selection of champagne, wine, lovely cocktails and mocktails was greatly appreciated ! Aidan and Jack were so professional, helpful, warm and smiling at every turn - nothing was too much trouble. We can’t thank you enough for all you did to make this celebration so special To the chefs and team - we appreciate your beautiful cuisine - we loved every bite !! .

Food was wonderful, staff were easy to communicate with throughout the entire process and they were so accomodating!! Service on the day was amazing and all the staff were flexible and just overall so lovely to work with!! Will definitely be back to try some different stuff on the menu too
