About this space

A private dining room at Aunty Kim's is the perfect intimate dining space for birthdays, team dinners, hen's nights and even smaller wedding receptions.

Aunty Kim's offers 2 identical private dining rooms (Hoddle and Wellington) that can seat up to 28 guests on one long table, 36 across 3 tables of 12 or cocktail style events for up to 45 guests.

Elegant theatre style full length silver curtains separate and soundproof the spaces from each other, meaning you can decorate and create your own playlist for the evening. Each space has its own entrance so you won't come in to contact with other guests, aside from shared use of the bathroom.

A projector and screen is available for presentations in our Hoddle space only, whereas Wellington has our beautiful New York style mirrored bar as a backdrop.

Host rules

We do not allow for outside catering or beverage to be brought in and we will provide the full service and staff ourselves. No smoking is allowed indoor but there is easy access to outside. If you are planning to use services from a third party supplier such as entertainment and decoration, check with our events team before booking them to ensure it aligns with our license and policies.


About Aunty Kim's

Aunty Kim's is a functions and events space under the Rice Paper Scissors umbrella serving similar Southeast Asian influenced food.

This beautiful space has been newly renovated, features beautifully exposed walls and chandeliers, and has the RPS touch. It is there for the ones very keen (we sure are!) to celebrate all the missed milestones, special occasions, and the ones coming up! We are there to offer you the no-stress, all-in “fun-vibes-only” experience!

It has its own music system so you can play your own playlist, AV system (pull-down screen and projector). It can be hired privately meaning you can bring along your own decorations and personalize the space as you wish.

Alternatively, it can be hired as a half-space using large noise-canceling curtains to divide the room and the other half could be used for another booking.

It has various capacity options for either seated or standing functions (20 to 80 guests).
