About this space

The Broad Center offers a spacious, open-concept venue perfect for a wide variety of events. Our large, wood-floored basement space features a classic Brooklyn charm and is ideal for birthday parties, community gatherings, book readings, performances, club meetings, and more.

By day, The Broad Center serves as a vital hub for our non-profit work supporting underserved New Yorkers. In the evenings and on weekends, our game and activity room transforms into a vibrant rental space equipped with:

- Wi-Fi or internet access

- Two plasma TVs

- Complementary mini regurgitator ( located downstairs )

- Electric countertop food warmer ( Located in the 1st floor hallway, please do not move from its original location )

- Microwave ( Located in the 1st floor hallway underneath the food warmer, please do not move from its original location )

- Multiple power outlets

- Foldable Tables / Chairs ( After booking, please let us know how many tables and chairs you will need for your event so it's placed downstairs before you arrive.)

- Arcade games

While the downstairs space is available for rental, guests will not have access to office spaces and to the two rooms on the upper floor marked "No Access." Upon arrival, security will meet you at the front entrance and open the door for you at the set arrival time. Security will then unlock the necessary areas, and guide you to your designated event area.

Whether you're hosting a casual get-together or a formal event, our versatile venue provides the comfort, character, and amenities to make your gathering memorable. The proceeds from any rentals of our space goes directly back into supporting our non-profit efforts and making our mission possible. By hosting your event with the Broad Center, you are actively helping to provide essential resources to Brooklyn's in-need communities.

Host rules

The event space is shared with our nonprofit business operations, therefore guests/renters will only have full access to the following designated areas of the building.
The downstairs event area ( Excluding the two rooms marked with "No Access" signs. Additionally, please note that the door in the middle of the event space leads to a trash disposal area and connects to a neighboring apartment building, which is NOT accessible to guests. )
2 guest bathrooms located on the 1st floor
Limited access to the 1st floor sink and counter area. (Guests are welcome to use the sink & counter, provided it is cleaned after use. )
Guest will have access to the following amenities:

The Broad Center - we are a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting New York City’s underserved populations, including individuals facing homelessness, addiction, food insecurity, and mental health challenges, every event held here directly contributes to real, lasting change.

We are located in the heart of Brooklyn, and our spacious, multipurpose venue is available for rental during our closed hours and is ideal for birthday parties, film screenings, baby showers, game nights, community meetups, and more.

All rental proceeds go directly toward supporting our general operation providing daily meals, emergency housing referrals, harm reduction tools, hygiene kits, clothing, educational workshops, and job readiness programs. When you book your event at the Broad Center, you’re not just hosting an event; you’re investing in a more just and connected New York.
