About this space
At The Shepherd & the Knucklehead, our commitment to providing excellent beer is legendary with 60 beers on tap! Like our name suggests, we offer the perfect experience for a variety of people! Our family-friendly day scene includes a vast selection of delicious apps and entrées, and is stroller-friendly with plenty of seating options. Our evening scene features the same amazing food including perfectly-crafted cocktails and world-famous beer selections, as well as trivia nights, live music, outdoor seating, and a DJ that will make a dancer out of anyone. We also host events and have a variety of catering options to suit many different occasions with plenty of space!

The Shepherd & the Knucklehead, aka “The Shep,” is our family-owned business. Located in Hoboken, our family’s second pub was established in 2016. Our unique name describes the duality in man which makes humans complex and is also the title of a book, published by one of the owners. Our goal is for a wide variety of patrons to enjoy excellent beer and food! We also enjoy giving back to our community and support charities both locally and globally. We hope to welcome you soon!
