Inspired by the audacious spirit of Josephine De Beauharnais, Empress of France and the original 'it girl', our venues embody her mantra of "c'est la fucking vie", living life to the fullest without apologies.
While female empowerment is at the heart of our ethos, our bars welcome all, regardless of gender. Don't let the pink decor deter you; some of our most enthusiastic feedback comes from diverse corporate groups of both men and women alike.

Host rules
• We operate a strict 21 and over policy. We can make exceptions to this should at least 80% of the party are over 21 and you state this before confirming your booking.
• All guests must show a valid form of photo ID on arrival. Failure to do so may result in you being refused entry.
• We reserve the right to refuse entry and / or stop serving at managers discretion.
• Should a member of your party be refused entry, we can offer a refund for this guest +1 only. The rest of the party can choose to enter or accept a credit note to re-book within the next 6 months.
• We do not offer refunds on any payments made. Should you be unable to attend your booking we can offer an alternative booking date or credit note to rebook within the next 6 months so long as you give us 72 hours notice. If you need to re-schedule due to anything COVID-19 related the same process will apply and we can offer either an alternative booking date or credit note.
• All seating requests will be noted, however we cannot 100% guarantee a specific area.

Living life with the motto “c’est la fucking vie”, Josephine never held back. She was an unapologetic hot mess. A hit on the dance floor, and great in the sack.
The story started in Waterloo and extended to Shoreditch, Birmingham and our newest opening in Clapham. Female empowerment is our vibe, but don’t be put off by the pink. Some of our best client feedback has come from corporate groups of men and women alike.
