About this space

Studio Bastille is a functional open space - 12m long and 8m wide, with very high ceilings (6m). A large folding door allows you to bring big sets or furniture, or even have the back of a truck coming in the studio to unload heavy items.

The studio is equipped with background systems already fitted on the walls, floating walls (240x240cm), several vinyl floors, shooting table, shooting tents, stools, boxes, mannequins, antique ladders, steamer, clothes racks and more.

Nanlite Forza 60B LED monolight 5600K LED light: $60 (+Fresnel adaptor)

Special lights like HMI, Fresnels can be sourced and a quote will be supplied (the “gear list” must be supplied at least one week before the photoshoot).
BACKGROUND RENTAL:
Paper backgrounds (studio’s owns): $40 per roll (please check with studio what colours are in stock)
CUSTOMISED SETS:
We can build your customised set. A quote will be supplied at least two weeks before the shoot.

Allowed events

Host rules

No smoking whatsoever is allowed in the studio.
No running in the premises
Kids have to be supervised by parents at all time
Music is to be kept at reasonable levels
No one will be admitted who is under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances
No pets allowed without prior consent of a company representative
All small and/or hard to clean material (confetti, hair cutting, feathers, food products, body paint, etc.) require approval from company representative

About Studio Bastille

We are a centrally located photographic studio in Melbourne. Based in Richmond, we offer a spacious (approx. 100 sq ft), fully equipped and affordable studio. We also have a large range of props and lighting available for rent.

A Studio that works
The studio is run by working photographers who well understand the demands and pressures on the photographer when on a shoot, particularly so when required to work in unfamiliar hire studio surroundings. Our aim is to offer a good studio hire space that is not only adaptable and functional, but also offers a relaxed, friendly and creative environment in which to work.
