Friendly staff, all good. Inspite of issues below which was more to do with noncompliance to what was advertised or lack of adding it on advertised profile. Asked for coffee but was told seperate charge. Was made to pay for cofee etc thogh it was on menu & paid the fixed price.

1. it is advertised as whole restaurant. went and saw the place. liked it booked it & then found out the bar is only included if £1500. By then we had already committed & told everybody. Not taking whole place means there would be disturbance from Bar as well as people trying to get into meeting place inadvertantly because they may not be aware there is a private function going on. 2. disturbance from people in Bar & hotel guests trying to get into the meeting place but ...we managed somehow...bit embarassing. 3. Menu said tea and cofee + dessert as all inclusive for the fixed price / meal. But on the day was denied beverages as part of paid menu and asked & paid seperately. 4. Neverthless I didnt refuse to pay the discretionary 12% service charge because the ambience & cleanliness / staff was good. 5. i will definitely use the place ....but one has to be very careful & make sure all of above is asked seperately. Things are in my view written a bit ambiguously.

Great location, lovely venue and friendly staff. We had a Christmas drinks reception there for our partners and everyone loved the venue. It is quite cost and intimate - perfect place for small networking events.

The Hyde is a very elegant place. The dining room and bar are perfect for around 20+. I like the way we had private areas, everyone commented on how nice it was. The food and service were top notch

Well the lead up to the event and meal orders were a bit difficult, and Ylenia was away, I live in another country with time difference so that part was tricky. But all worked out v ery well in the end.

The food was great.

Had an awful experience, where I feel completely swindled by this company. They double booked our private dining event and only informed me a week leading up to the event. They offered to move us into their garden space from 6pm-8pm then onto the private space originally booked for the rest of the evening. When originally booking this, the link shows that the space was free from 5pm, so I lost an hour and then lost 2 hours to the garden. I agreed to start at 6pm and move to the garden as the host offered free welcome drinks to my guests. It was then agreed prior to the event everything was to be paid as you go apart from the food which I prepaid for in advance. I did not want a tab and made that very clear. On arrival there was nobody in the private dining space, which was confusing but, nonetheless we moved to the garden. They provided us with prosecco then moved us inside at the agreed time of 8pm. The dinner / drinks inside went well asides from them letting in a random hotel guest into our private event who then wouldn’t leave. They also did not have 20 seats they set the table for 19, so we had to ask for the extra setting. I was willing to brush this off as the start had been lovely and the free prosecco was much appreciated. Right at the end I was pulled inside and told I have an outstanding balance of £826.63 which I was completely shocked (and embarrassed) as we had agreed pay as you go, so I questioned the bill. I was provided with 2 varying receipts which didn’t add up to the same value. The guy on the main desk was super aggressive and said I had to pay for the prosecco, I explained the original organiser had told us this was free of charge and that wasn’t the case, he wouldn’t listen but agreed to not take payment before he talked to her and then to us on Monday. So, we left our name, number and card and said please can the Manager call us on Monday to discuss before taking payment. They never called and just proceeded to just take the payment including optional service charge of £326. We tried calling numerous times being passed around lots of people with no call back. I then followed up with email showing me and the organisers agreement to the free drinks and pay as you go. We got a call back from a French guy who said he was the Manager and was super calm and helpful and said he agreed and would investigate and get back to us. He never did, so we called again, and the aggressive man called back. He said he would not be refunding the prosecco and there was no French Manager (again super confusing). I explained how unfair this was as we were never told we would be charged for the prosecco. It was never agreed we would move on from the free prosecco to then paid prosecco. If they genuinely believed we would then be paying for this why did they not express this to us, or even inform us of the cost before carelessly topping people up. Also, as I made it very clear prior to the event everything was pay as you go and no tab was to be arranged, so why an unagreed tab was randomly then set up is beyond me. He continued to be aggressive and unhelpful. Over email the original organiser took full responsibility and said that yes, she did offer the free prosecco, yet the aggressive man still argued and said he said he would only refund £400 which is inclusive of the optional service charge. So, I owe £426.63. I have tried to work this out with the venue who have just ignored all requests. I have involved Tagvenue who are now also being ignored and I am out of pocket for their mistake. I would stay well away from this place.

About The Hyde Restaurant & Bar

London's thriving bar scene has recently had a magnificent upgrade as the elegant and upscale bar, 'The Hyde', opens its doors to the public at The Roseate House Hotel, a luxury boutique hotel comprising three renovated, mid-19th century Grade II listed townhouses. Visually delighting and catering exquisitely to the taste and feel of the bar's guests, The Hyde offers a restorative and all-encompassing intimate sensory experience.

As a traditional hotel bar, The Hyde offers discerning locals and seasoned travellers to London a refined dining and cocktail experience, a place to meet and entertain with excellent personal service and the opportunity to explore the culture and history of London. Already a favourite with international guests, such as from the United States and France, and with no other luxury bar in the close vicinity, The Hyde currently fills a void with its inimitable character.

The Hyde is an intimate and exclusive retreat, a space you enter not to be seen, but to enjoy outstanding service and unique comfort within the exclusive confines of a traditional British Townhouse Hotel, whilst relishing some of the best libations London has to offer. This is matched only by a contemporary food offering which complements the bar experience rather than dominating it.
