The Vale Vault is a premium cocktail and wine bar, based underneath The Bedford Pub.
Specialising in a high-end range of spirits, supplied by Master of Malt in High Brooms, we provide a bespoke menu of different cocktails, some classic, some creative, all amazing!
The design is largely tailored toward an industrial theme, with a hint of speakeasy thrown in for good measure! The main entrance is down the alleyway off Vale Road, hence the name, and there will also be a ‘secret’ access door from the bar upstairs!

About The Vale Vault
In July 2011, the bar was refurbished and transformed from a grotty, run-down public house to a premier, traditional alehouse. We are now proud to serve eight cask ales and ciders on the pumps along with ten keg lines, including premium lagers, ciders and Guinness (especially for our Rugby supporters)!
Let’s not forget the superb selection of spirits and wines available to our customers. Our premium gin selection features some of the most popular and delicious gins on the market, and they are all paired perfectly with tonics from Fever-Tree. A perfect compliment to our cask ales is our offering of single-malt Scotch whiskies. We have four of the very best available!
Here at The Bedford, we pride ourselves on our friendly and accommodating staff. We have striven to attain a calm environment to ensure you can enjoy your drinks and hopefully feel comfortable and relaxed at all times. We’re also dog-friendly, so please bring in your furry friends! There are always treats and water!
Ever since July 2011, we have excelled at putting on an unrivalled event schedule at the pub. With live music every Saturday evening and ad-hoc music festivals, The Bedford is recognised as one of the town’s best venues for live entertainment.
In August 2018, we decided to take the plunge and have Sky Sports & BT Sport installed. Showing seven days a week on our brand new 65inch 4k UHD TVs, you can watch everything from football to cricket and tennis to rugby!
If poker is your ‘thing’, then we have competitive poker league nights every Tuesday evening, where you can play to Vegas! We will keep getting better, and we hope you enjoy your experience at our small but cosy little bar.
