The venue is perfect for both traditional and more informal celebrations. The stone Barn, featuring a rustic, neutral interior with stone walls, oak beams and grand chandelier, is a great and flexible place to bring your dream wedding vision to life.

The Barn can accommodate up to 150 guests for your ceremony and up to 160 evening guests for your dining reception. The adjoined terrace, overlooking the rolling countryside and lake, is a lovely location in which to enjoy your drinks and canapes. The venue provides you with contacts of experienced local suppliers, including professional caterers, however you can choose your own ones.

The Main Farmhouse also offers you atmospheric Dining Room and Lounge that are perfect for more intimate ceremonies for up to 55 guests.

If you wish an outdoor ceremony, Deer`s Leap Retreat offers you a breathtaking lake setting with a beautiful gazebo, accommodating up to 150 seated guests, to exchange your vows. Beautiful landscapes also provide you with a number of locations for your wedding photography.

The venue offers the option for accomodation in the farmhouse bedrooms after your memorable celebration. Deer`s Leap Retreat can accommodate up to 19 people in 9 comfortable and stylish rooms.

A wedding at Deer’s Leap includes
Luxury Accommodation in the Farmhouse for 3 nights on a self-catering basis, accommodating 19 (+4), includes hot tubs, sauna, games room & tennis court. Check-in 4 pm on Friday before your wedding and departure 10 am on Monday after your wedding.

Beautiful, self-contained Bridal cottage, Check-in 3 pm on Thursday before your wedding and departure at 10 am on Monday after your wedding.

Private Glamping is for your guests to book and pay for directly.

Access to your choice of Ceremony & Reception venue from 10 am on the morning prior to your wedding.

Refrigeration to chill your wines & champagne, kitchen area adjacent to the stone barn to store your accessories and any food or drink you choose to supply for your wedding

Surround sound system for your outdoor wedding: includes a microphone, amp, log speakers and aux for plugging in devices

Sound system for the barn: includes mic, amp, speakers, lights

Tables & chairs or your choice, for both your ceremony & reception for up to 100 guests

Host rules

No outside music is allowed after 8 pm and no live music after 11 pm. DJ and recorded music is allowed later than 11pm.
Couples have responsibility for putting up and taking down their decorations.

Deer's Leap Retreat does not have wedding packages, the venue offers you the chance to create your own unique celebration with help of professional wedding planners. The venue hosts only one wedding per weekend, providing you with exclusive use of the entire space.

Deer`s Leap Retreat, nestled on the edge of beautiful Exmoor National Park in South West England, provides you with a number of beautiful settings, including a traditional old farmhouse, a picturesque lake with an elegant gazebo, and a rustic stone barn with a spacious terrace and grounds.
