About Wanstrow Village Hall
Wanstrow Village Hall was rebuilt using money from the Big Lottery and other grants. It was opened in May 2011 by Kevin McCloud, presenter of the Channel 4 Grand Designs program. He called it “a triumph for Wanstrow.”
The design is planned to be eco-friendly, using the latest sustainable technology and is equipped with full disabled access.
The adjoining green was opened in April 2012 and is open to the public at all times. It has state-of-the-art play equipment, funded by a grant from The People’s Millions, and is a fantastic asset for anyone wanting to book children”s party, or an event including children, as it is freely available.
The main hall can easily seat 120 people and the adjoining meeting room can be opened up to increase the area.
There is a well-organized and fully equipped kitchen with a serving hatch along with a full-service bar in the main hall.
Outside there is a car park which has two spaces for disabled parking.
The attractive church of St. Mary is nearby and the village pub King William IV; serves local real ales, local ciders, lagers and good pub food – right across the road.
