Escot House is an idyllic Devon wedding venue; impressive, steeped in history and with that certain touch of class. What makes us different is our relaxed attitude; you will love having all the splendor with none of the fuss for an affordable price. Our rooms are generously proportioned, light, and friendly – there’s simply nothing stuffy about Escot.
Located in East Devon, the striking Georgian house is set in peaceful parkland, and your wedding guests will have the chance to relax in wonderful surroundings. The house overlooks the park and the lake and offers a delightful backdrop for your wedding photographs.
Escot House is licensed for civil ceremonies. We will gladly host small, intimate weddings, and for larger, more lavish weddings we can seat up to 120 in the house itself, or 180 if we use a marquee. Evening receptions are also held in the house, making it effortless for your celebrations to continue into the night as more guests arrive.

About Escot Estate
Escot Estate is a Devon event venue with a history of hosting a wide range of events. With over 1,000 acres of grounds available including 250 acres of parkland, we have space and experience to help you get your event off the ground.
At Escot House we’ll help you celebrate in style, whatever the occasion.
We don’t book more than one event at a time, so you will have exclusive use of the house and revel in the elegant environment that is yours for the duration of your ‘do’.
We can comfortably seat up to 120 guests for lunch or dinner, with a table layout to suit your style. All the catering for your family parties is created in-house. Whether you want delicate canapes, a glorious buffet, or a refined three-course meal, we offer value-for-money and delicious homemade food using locally sourced ingredients.
