About this space

The Blue Anchor is a light and airy space right next to the River Roding and part of our four studio venue.

A dry hire includes:
• Tables/Chairs
• Standard spandex black table covers supplied.
• Bluetooth connected sound system.
• Free parking for up to 40 cars with a code for the barrier, after 6pm weekdays and all weekend, prior to this there is own on road Ringo parking on St Paul's Road which is a one minute walk away.
• Clients are permitted to use their own caterers, or the Boathouse will recommend suppliers.
• The venue has a small galley kitchen which can be used for setting up food. It is not licensed for cooking but a microwave is available for warming food.

Clients may decorate the studios subject to the terms and conditions below.

Time should be carefully factored in for set up and clear away of the event. Recommended no less than an hour for each.

Alcohol surcharge of £200 for hirer providing alcohol at no charge to guests.
We are fully licensed and have paying mobile bar.

Beautiful, spacious venue. Neutrally decorated, clean. Fast wifi- password readily available. Wifi speakers- loud, efficient. Friendly hosts- Julie Wedge was amazing! Helpful, professional, communicated well. Remained on site throughout. Greeted guests- ensured all necessary Covid precautions were met. Helped with cleaning! Very lovely women.

Slightly difficult location to find, hidden. Access code necessary for parking. Very small kitchen facilities- no utensil. Microwave was removed mid party?

The staff was so helpful and kind to my guest. Planning the Event with Julie, was like I was planning it with a member of the family. They made sure they facilitated our needs. A great team

My husband and I recently held our wedding reception at the Boathouse Creative Studios and couldn't recommend them more highly. Julie and Carole went above and beyond all of our expectations and requests. From continuously arranging extra time for us to stay and decorate, sourcing and liaising with suppliers on our behalf, to moving around their own days off to allow us to come in and scout the place out with our DJ, they made the whole day (and run up) go perfectly smoothly. The venue itself was spotlessly clean and provided a quirky blank canvas for us to make our mark on. Nothing was too much to ask - even the security staff they employed were so friendly that they felt more like guests on the day. All in all, we'd wholeheartedly recommend you consider the Boathouse Creative Studios for your event.

About Boathouse Studios, Barking

An unusual and quirky riverside multi-purpose venue offering four flexible studios for a variety of business, corporate and private celebration events.

Our studios have sprung floors and offer a blank canvas that can be transformed to suit your needs. This peaceful 'get-away-from-it-all' offers great privacy.

Its urban warehouse feel with exposed brick walls gives it a contemporary feel. It's the perfect setting for people who want the freedom to create their own space in their own way, and stamp their individuality. We have a 'yes and' approach to events and if we can help you to make your idea work we'll do our best to make things possible. You can bring in your own decor, catering and entertainment. We have free parking after 5pm on weekdays and all weekend. :)
