About this space
Handel House occupies two Floors of 25 Brook Street, the building in which George Frederic Handel lived from 1723 until his death in 1759.
The four restored rooms include his bedroom, composition room, and the music room in which he rehearsed his musicians and singers and often gave informal recitals for friends and neighbours.
Handel House provides an unforgettable backdrop for events, launches and parties. The experienced team will help you realise your vision, making sure your evening is a night to remember.

How many people can be accommodated? Max. 70 people for a drinks party. Please note: no one room can accommodate more than 30 people, either standing or seated in rows.
Which rooms are specifically included? All rooms on 1st and 2nd floors, including the Studio and Front and Back Parlours.
What hours is it available? 6.00pm t 10.00pm, Monday to Saturday (excluding Tuesday).
Are there any restrictions on food and drink? Only light coloured drinks can be served, ie white wine. No dark drinks such as red wine or whiskey can be served. There are only limited catering facilities available, so food such as canapes are ideal.

25 Brook Street is the house that belonged to George Frederic Handel and the place where he composed some of the world’s most enduring Baroque music, including Messiah. On the top floor of 23 Brook Street is the flat where, two centuries later, Jimi Hendrix lived with his girlfriend, record player and guitar. Both were the homes of musical innovators who chose London and changed music.
After opening to the public in November 2001 as Handel House, and the recent addition of the Hendrix Flat in 2016, 23 & 25 Brook Street now co-exist together as a museum space that celebrates two of the world’s most remarkable musicians. The building is composed of a series of atmospheric rooms, each reconstructed to feel as if the iconic musicians have just left.
