General venue operation and event hosting guidelines

  • Venues may operate at a reduced capacity based on the 2 square metre social distance rule
  • Private gatherings of up to 40 people
  • Concert venues, auditoriums and theatres with a COVID Safe Plan, can have up to 75% capacity
  • Outdoor events with a COVID Safe Events Checklist can have up to 1000 attendees


  • Up to 100 attendees allowed for venues with COVID Safe Industry Plans
