Our Editorial Process

What we do to provide useful and reliable information

Our writers are committed to ensuring the Tagvenue Blog is a reliable reference source for anyone looking for information on real-life or virtual events. Our primary mission is to provide our audience with knowledge and advice that is useful, easily accessible and up-to-date. That’s why every contributor involved in the content creation process adheres to our editorial guidelines that help maintain the high quality and accuracy of each article.

Building trust and putting our readers first

From researching to post-publication upkeeping, we are dedicated to providing value for our readers. Content ideation starts with identifying the questions and needs of our audience. Then, each approved topic is thoroughly researched by our industry experts. Each writer specialises in one of our main niches: Private Events, Business Events, Creative Production, Wedding Planning, Christmas Parties and Virtual Events. To maintain transparency, every article includes information about all contributors and the date when it was last updated.

Keeping ourselves to high standards

Our writers follow specific guidelines to ensure the content is reader-oriented, error-free and presented in an accessible format.

Internal review

Before publication, every piece goes through peer review, where it is checked by another writer. Later, it is submitted for editorial review and thoroughly analysed by our managing editor.

At this stage, each article is edited, fact-checked and subjected to our quality scoring system, which takes into account the following criteria:

  • Research & sources – we only accept articles that are well-researched and based on high-quality sources
  • Originality – if our writers are quoting someone else’s work or citing any data, we make sure it is always properly attributed and includes links to the sources; each article also has to pass a plagiarism check
  • Structure – all our articles follow the same styling guidelines to ensure a reader-friendly experience
  • Relevance – all information presented in the articles must be relevant and helpful to the reader
  • Readability – we make sure our content is clear, easy to follow and logical

Finally, the articles are reviewed by our senior editor.

External review

Besides the internal review, we’ve also established an external process where our content is verified by external experts in the field or data analysts. That’s how we make sure we provide you with high-quality information.

Once approved, the articles are published on the Tagvenue Blog. After publication, each piece is quality-checked one more time to ensure the best reader experience.

Reviewing and updating existing content

All of our existing content is regularly reviewed and updated to ensure the information we provide is always accurate and up to date. This excludes Newsroom articles and reports, which are typically time-sensitive and don’t require such rigorous updating. Every piece of content published on the Tagvenue Blog comes with a date stamp indicating when it was last updated.

Our Editorial Process, Created for You

From keeping our writers up to strict standards to reviewing and updating our content on an ongoing basis, our transparent editorial process helps us provide you with knowledge that is accurate, trustworthy and accessible. If you have noticed any issue on the Tagvenue Blog that you would like to report, please reach out to us at hello@tagvenue.com.
